The course
The course fee is $175.00 + tax
The fee includes:
Advances open water textbook
PADI advance open water diver certification card
10%discount on the purchase of any new dive equipment during the course and for 30 days after.
The student is required to supply:
Dive table
Complete SCUBA unit with 2 tanks (own or rent)
Wet suit, mask, snorkel, fins weight belt with weight
Compass, primary light, back-up light knife, whistle
There is an additional charge for the Sunday boat charter, if a charter is required to complete the core dives
If you dont own your own SCUBA equipment, most necessary equipment can be rented for a reduced weekend rate of $50.00+tax we do not rent lights or knives.
Prerequisites
All participants must be at least 15 years old and be a certified diver with any recognized agency. If you are interested in an advanced program, but are between the ages of 12 and 14 contact bluefin diving on information on the PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Course.
DONT FEEL YOUR QUIT READY?
From opening day our policy has been to allow our former students even after certification, to borrow SCUBA gear for pool practice .we encourage all former students to take advantage of this offer.
If you are not a former student, try a SCUBA tune-up with an Instructor or dive master. This can be arranger through the store.
Advanced open water weekend.
What dives will we do?
You will do five training dives over a fun, exciting, but relaxed two days.
There are two core dives: deep and navigation. The deep dive goes to a depth past 60 feet but not deeper then 100 feet. The navigation techniques, as well as compass work, distance estimation and other valuable skills fro underwater and surface dive navigation.
In addition to the core dives we also do three elective dives. These are chosen any dive described in your advance manual and usually include DRIFT, WRECK, and NIGHT dives. DIVES chosen depends on conditions and group interest.
Courses are once a month beginning in early May and ending in November.

The advanced open water dicer course offers a structured program to gain additional experience and skill. You are always under the direct guidance of a PADI professional Instructor. Successful completion allows participant in more advanced diving activities with a depth limit of 100 feet.
The PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE consists of one evening in class and five experience dives
There is an orientation session before the dive weekend .you are welcome to audit this session if you are not sure you would like to participate at this time.
On Friday night students do a warm up dive around 6:00pm and a night dive later at the same sight? On Saturday, theres the navigation dive and one elective dive. On Sunday, the deep dive past 60 feet and a second elective dive are done.
